There hasn’t been a single enquiry for this amazing boy, and we honestly can’t believe it! Sadly, that seems to be the reality of homing at the moment, especially when it comes to lurchers. While other dogs receive multiple applications, wonderful dogs like him are so often overlooked.

He is such a fun, loving lad with so much potential. Everyone who meets him falls for his character, and all of our volunteers absolutely adore him. He brings a smile wherever he goes and has so much love to give.
All he needs now is someone willing to give him a chance and show him what it means to have a forever family of his own.
Please read all his details before applying.
Beautiful boy Sox is the loveliest lad with a fabulous temperament. He has just turned 8 months old and is going to make an amazing pet for a very lucky home.
Sox has been with us for a couple of months now and he really is such a sweet boy. There isn’t a bad bone in his body, just a bundle of enthusiastic love!
He can be a little over the top with initial introductions to new people and dogs, but there has never been any aggression, he just gets super excited to say hello!
Sox is really eager to please and already knows ‘sit’, ‘paw’, ‘down’ and ‘catch’. He is a typical young lurcher with plenty of energy, so a home where he can be kept active, both physically and mentally would suit him perfectly. We think he would thrive at something like agility, flyball or canicross.
We believe him to be a Whippet x Greyhound type cross (possibly with a few other breeds in the mix too), but whatever he is, he is 100% amazing! He is bigger than a Whippet but smaller than a Greyhound, and we estimate he will finish at around 25kg.
He came to us through no fault of his own (owner’s ill health). He has previously lived happily with other dogs and could do so again, provided they are happy to live with a lively, bouncy young lurcher. He may need a little help with housetraining initially, but he is a quick learner and always keen to please. He can be strong on the lead, although this is already improving as he matures. He isn’t cat friendly.
Sox is currently in Essex but can be homed anywhere in the UK to the right home. Homechecks apply.
