Gorgeous five-year-old Kit is looking for his forever home. Please read ALL of the information below before applying to adopt him.

Kit was born in August 2020 and has been in our care for a while now. He did originally find a home, but unfortunately it didn’t work out through no fault of his own. During his time in foster care, he has proved to be a lovely natured boy. He is incredibly handsome with a very affectionate personality.
Kit is a very active Whippet who loves to be on the go. He loves to play, especially with a tennis ball for a good game of fetch, and enjoys zoomies in the garden. He can sometimes become a little over the top during play and needs reminding that he can’t charge around all day! This is why an active home that will keep both his body and mind stimulated is so important.
He loves his walks and is generally good on the lead, although he can be reactive towards some dogs. This has improved greatly with positive training while in foster care. He is now happy to walk alongside dogs he knows and will look to his humans for a treat instead of barking at passing dogs. This positive reinforcement training will need to be continued in his new home.

THE IMPORTANT BIT
Kit is looking for an adult-only home with no resident or visiting children. Although he loves people, children can make him feel anxious, and we want to ensure he is never placed in a situation where he feels worried or overwhelmed.
He also needs a home in a quiet area where people aren’t constantly passing by the windows or garden, as this can unsettle him.
Kit has always been an only pet, and we feel this would continue to suit him best. He enjoys having all the attention to himself and doesn’t like other dogs getting into his personal space.
He is not suitable for a home with cats or small furry animals.
Kit travels very well in the car and has been left for up to three hours without showing any signs of separation anxiety.
He currently sleeps on his bed in his foster carer’s bedroom, but he has previously slept happily in his own safe space in another room without any problems.
Kit would love a quiet home with a fully secure garden for zoomies, lovely walks to explore and, most importantly, plenty of love.
Although he enjoys a cuddle, he is definitely not a couch potato! He needs an active home committed to providing daily exercise, enrichment and plenty of mental stimulation to help him flourish.
Kit is neutered, and all potential homes are subject to a homecheck.
