We currently have this amazing young boy looking for his forever home.
Please read ALL his information before applying and only apply if you can meet his needs.

Albie came into our foster care at just 8 weeks old and is now 5 months old.
As you can probably see from the video, Albie is a big boy! This is due to him having Myostatin Deficiency – a very rare condition that affects Whippets and causes double muscling.
Despite this, Albie is a typical Whippet puppy. He loves to play, enjoys a good game of bitey face with his friends, and is always getting up to a bit of mischief! He is very eager to please, already knows his basic commands, and his recall is coming along brilliantly.
He is excellent with other dogs in the home and currently shares his foster home with several other Whippets. However, he doesn’t enjoy very rough play, as this can cause him some discomfort due to his muscling. He can also get worried when approached by unfamiliar dogs while out walking, but his foster carers are doing lots of positive socialisation work to help build his confidence.
Day to day, Albie is a happy, loving, and cheeky puppy. He can sometimes experience muscle cramps, which may cause him to cry and seek reassurance and cuddles from his humans. We believe this is linked to the rate at which his muscles are growing, and it is hoped these episodes will ease as he matures.
Albie is great in the house and can be left for a couple of hours with the company of his Whippet friends. He has previously been crate trained, although he now prefers the comfort of the sofa! He travels well in the car and loves going on adventures.
He is currently living with chickens. While he may occasionally try to chase them, he has never caused any harm.
Albie would suit a home with:
A quiet home with secure garden where he can safely enjoy his zoomies. A canine companion (or two) – he would not suit life as an only pet. A home without young children, so his boundaries can be respected and play kept gentle
Myostatin Deficiency is very rare, and Albie is the first case we have personally come across. From our research, it is important that his weight is carefully managed to avoid excess strain on his body. He may benefit from joint supplements in the future, but overall his prognosis is very positive – he should live a long, happy life… just with an impressive six-pack! (He currently weighs around 14kg and also has an award-winning overbite).
He will come with our usual lifetime of support and back-up, and adoption is subject to a thorough homecheck.
Albie is going to make one very lucky family the most amazing pet.
