We are delighted to tell you of a fund raising collaboration between ourselves and professional artists Sara Abbott.
Abbott is an animal portrait artist of acclaim who has created hundreds of privately commissioned portraits and who has donated thousands of pounds to the different animal charities she supports through her work.
Earlier this year she created a stunning portrait of 2018 Crufts Best in Show winner ‘Tease’. It was planned that this framed, oil on canvas painting would hang at the Kennel Club Gallery in London but due to circumstances beyond the artist’s control this didn’t happen.
A passionate animal lover and supporter of dogs in rescue for many years Abbott has decided to donate the work to JR Whippet rescue with the knowledge that a Crufts win for any breed may mean dogs of that kind can find themselves in increased trouble.
The painting is being offered in a sealed bid fashion with 50% of the profits going straight to the dogs in our care.
