Handsome boy Finn is ready to find his forever sofa.
Finn is a beautiful 8 year old boy. He loves his home comforts, being snuggled on the sofa or on his bed in front of the fire. He equally loves his walks, especially zoomies on the beach with his friends. He also enjoys nipping into the pub / cafe for some treats and a snooze.
Finn is excellent with other dogs and is currently in foster with another male Whippet. He has lots of canine friends that he walks with and he isn’t reactive. We feel he will he best suited to a home with another gentle dog.
In usually circumstances we would be able to find a dog like Finn a home in record time as his temperament is what everyone wishes for but sadly Finn suffers from seizures and severe separation anxiety and that is where finding him the right home becomes more complicated.
Finn has had seizures from a young age and he is on medication to keep them under control (this medication will be funded by us throughout his life), but he does still have a cluster of them every couple of months (usually between 1 and 6 seizures in a day and then none again for a couple of months). His adopters are going to need to be understanding of this and be able to administer his medication correctly daily and take him for veterinary check ups when needed.
His separation anxiety is also something that needs to be understood as he does not like being left alone, even with the company of another dog. We are happy to help with behaviourial training for this, but as it is something he has suffered from since he was young it is unlikely to change much.
Finn is such an amazing boy with so much love to give and he has an incredible zest for life. He really deserves his loving forever home. He just needs a caring and understanding adopter.
He can be homed with other dogs (pending successful introductions). He has a wonderful temperament, but due to his seizures we would prefer him to go to a home without children. He would like a garden to enjoy.
He is currently based in Somerset, but he can be homed anywhere in the UK for the right home.
Finn has an array of belongings to come home with.
